You would do fine with either oil. Being that you are in a good but warmer climate than I am. You might go with the 75W-140. Depends on what the manual recommends. My 4410 spins the MMM gearbox at 2100 rpm and the 75W-90 seems to work well as it did in the Suburban differential. The 75W-140 is for heavy duty use. C.

I had a BB60 for 4 years (purchased in 2001), and now have a 72. Fill hole (need appropriate sized allen wrench) is on top, and drain hole is on side, about 4-5 inches lower (also needs allen wrench). Remove top and side plugs, ENTIRELY, then put oil (80-90 weight) into top hole (fill hole) until it drains out of side hole.

It has an oil bath for it in addition to the pto gear box. The bearing on the non gear side has a grease zerk for that bearing. Since it probably wasn't a grease packed bearing, I'll probably pump in some grease and spin the tiller by hand to try to make sure the bearing gets loaded with grease.
