The CA will wick and follow the crack, and as soon as the crack is completely glued, the capillary tube is taken away so that no excess glue is applied.

So after adding Titebond to the joint, I pressed down the crack, and held it in place with two wooden batons. I used a tip from the Mandolin Café Forum – using baking paper under the join to stop the glue fixing the soundboard to the wood beneath. Very useful!
